PEIFHN offers bursaries to students in the health field through its 2021 promotional campaign
WELLINGTON (PEI), Tuesday April 27, 2021 – The PEI French Health Network (PEIFHN) is pleased to launch its promotional campaign for the seventh annual student bursary competition.
The Health Network awards two $1,500 bursaries to Prince Edward Island Francophone or Francophile students enrolled in a post-secondary health program. A $500 bursary is awarded to a French-speaking student from outside the province or country who will be pursuing studies in the health field at an Island institution.
Those who register on the PEIFHN’s health student database automatically become eligible to win one of two $1,500 bursaries and the $500 bursary for 2021–2022. Furthermore, when they register on the Health Network’s database, students are kept informed of training and employment opportunities in Prince Edward Island.
One of the bursaries will be awarded to a first-year student who is starting a health-related program at a post-secondary institution in the 2021–2022 academic year. Another bursary will be awarded to a student who has already started a post-secondary program in health and will be continuing their studies. The last bursary will be awarded to an individual from outside the province or country, enrolled in a post-secondary health program on the Island.
Every year, the Health Network shares its list of students with the Department of Health and Wellness’s Recruitment and Retention Secretariat, which also informs students of training and employment opportunities in the province.
Interested students have until Monday May 31 at midnight to fill out the participation form on the Health Network’s web site at www.santeipe.ca (Étudiants en santé button). The bursaries will be randomly drawn in early June 2021 among all applications received.
